StackMap builds web and mobile applications that help people locate books, computers, rooms, and other physical resources in libraries or any indoor space. Whether a patron is searching the catalogue at a public, city, local, college, academic, law, research, or university library, StackMap integrates with the catalog, discovery, or mobile search interface to provide a stack map with written directions to the exact shelf location of the item. Born out of a student project at Stanford, this technology not only assists with wayfinding, navigation, and accessibility, but it also dramatically improves the user experience (UX) of the library search process.
